The deadline has been set in the Gdynia Port Strategic Development plan. The management of the seaport underlines the newly-created objective as necessary to remain in the lead of the Baltic Sea container seaports.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nIn 2003, the Gdynia seaport launched then-new strategy, with more than 1bln Polish Zloty in investment to spend; the plan started in 2003 finished last year. The new plan of the management proves that the port has approved the strategy that boasts the following: that until 2027, the seaport would reach the handling capacity of 44,5 points, and the cargo being handled to 32mln tons, and 2\/3 of the total cargo handled is meant to be LCL (Less than Container Load) and ro-ro (Roll-on, Roll-off) shipments, with only a third being FCL (Full-Container Load). The stakes are high \u2013 if the port succeeds, it will be able to handle the biggest container and passenger ships that sail on the Baltic Sea.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Objectives<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe management of the seaport is applying for European Union financing that would be crucial in expanding the second turntable. The expansion would allow to turn the ships docking in the port by 180 degrees for super-container cargo ships of 400 meters. In the future, the bulk carrier ships would also benefit from the enterprise.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe years 2018-2020 are to also bring the following: widening the external approach lane by 280 meters and deepening it by 17 meters. What is more, the  reservoir is going to be depend by 16 meters, and the internal entrance to the port and rebuilding of the wharf next to the Port Canal.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nBut what would the abovementioned changes mean to the port itself? A chance to become a deep-water port for the world of today. The total gross costs of the investments boast 660mln PLN.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Implementation<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe turntable, after years of efforts, will start to be built this autumn. It will be operational in the first months of 2018, with 480m in diameter, and that would allow ships of 400m to be serviced. Nevertheless, for the port to operate there is going to be a continuous string of investment present at all times. Multimodality of the logistics hub will be solidified by the construction of one mroe high-bay warehouse of around 11.600 cubic meters yet another one, meant for grain and fodder. The two abovementioned warehouses will be located in the western side of the port, whereas there are plans to build three more in another part of the port. Zapewni\u0142oby to mo\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 obr\u00f3cenia statku o 180 stopni dla superkontenerowc\u00f3w o d\u0142ugo\u015bci do 400 metr\u00f3w. Koszt tych inwestycji okre\u015blono na ok. 660 mln z\u0142 brutto.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Realizacja<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nPocz\u0105tek budowy obrotnicy , po kilku latach stara\u0144, rozpocznie si\u0119 jesieni\u0105 bie\u017c\u0105cego roku. Zostanie ona oddana do u\u017cytku na pocz\u0105tku 2018 roku, a jej \u015brednica 480 m stworzy warunki do zawijania do portu statk\u00f3w o d\u0142ugo\u015bci 400 m. Aby jednak funkcjonalno\u015b\u0107 portu by\u0142a nienaganna potrzeba inwestycji uzupe\u0142niaj\u0105cych. Multimodalno\u015b\u0107 tego w\u0119z\u0142a logistycznego ma zapewni\u0107  budowa kolejnego magazynu wysokiego sk\u0142adowania (ok. 11,6 tys. m kw. powierzchni) oraz nast\u0119pny magazyn zb\u00f3\u017c i pasz.
