The PKP PLK Company is in final stages of construction of the railway line between Pruszcz Gda\u0144ski and the seaport in Gda\u0144sk itself. Thanks to that change, the possible cargo handling for railway is said to grow six-fold.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>The Precursor Bridge<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tThe construction above the Dead Vistula is one of the most crucial parts of the investments. The materials used weight almost 2 tons, and boasts length of 120 meters. It will serve as a substitute for the old, single-lane bridge on which there had been speed limitations.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tThe new construction will allow the passage to be finished in only a third of time in comparison to the previous one. What is more, the conditions of navigation got better as well; \u201cthe channel has been widened, and the bridge itself has been hoisted,\u201d said the construction manager. \u201cThanks to that solution, the ships are now able to pass through with taller cargo \u2013 with three layers of containers, and not with only one layer, as it was in the past.\u201d<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tThe two-way traffic and the modernization of the bridges will also include the passages on the Mot\u0142awa and Raduni rivers, and the statistics clearly show the size of the investment. During the first semester of 2016, the total amount of cargo handled in the port has grown by 34% when compared to the same period the year before, and the number of serviced carriages has increased by 29%.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>The time of seaports<\/strong><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tThe potential of seaports is growing, and that is also the trend that is there to stay, and these factors seem to confirm the statement: refurbishment of 70km of railway lines and general rebuilding of infrastructure and road-railway connections. The plan has been designed to get rid of the bottleneck that has been limiting the transport for a long time. Stettin and Swinoujscie are the next strategically important cities that have been included in the development schedule; 160 kilometers of new railway, two new overpasses and bridges and electrification of chosen infrastructure.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n\tYou can speak about a considerable enthusiasm in transportation and logistics trade.
