The stereotype of professional cargo carriers being one of the most dangerous groups within road transport seems to be less and less true. Such widespread opinions are exaggerated, and already for quite some time; numbers prove exactly that.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nIn 2015, trucks in Poland were a part of 3377 road accidents; a decade earlier, the accidents with trucks boasted the number of 7635, and that means a decrease of 54% throughout the last 10 years.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe general locomotive trend of more and more vehicles on the roads seems to have an opposite reaction on the number of road accidents. The number of accidents that include trucks keeps decreasing, even though every year the number of trucks increases. In 2006 there were 2.1mln trucks, and in 2014 there were more than 3mln.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe decrease in road incidents is also systematically getting lower and lower. The number of accidents in which it was the truck drivers\u2019 fault is also decreasing, and at a much quicker pace than the general number of road accidents (decrease of over 60% in comparison to 54%). In 2015, truck drivers were responsible for less than 5% of all road accidents on Polish roads. In 2009, that percentage oscillated around 9%.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe good tendency of fewer accidents on the roads can only boost the number of road transport enthusiasts. Liczba wypadk\u00f3w drogowych, w kt\u00f3rych zawini\u0142 sam kierowca ci\u0119\u017car\u00f3wki maleje i to w tempie znacznie wi\u0119kszym ni\u017c liczba wszystkich wypadk\u00f3w drogowych (spadek o ponad 60 proc. w por\u00f3wnaniu do 54 proc. og\u00f3\u0142em).<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nKierowcy aut ci\u0119\u017carowych odpowiadali w 2015 r. za niespe\u0142na 5 proc. wszystkich wypadk\u00f3w na polskich drogach. Dla por\u00f3wnania &#8211; w 2006 r. by\u0142o to prawie 9 proc.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nMniejsza liczba wypadk\u00f3w to tak\u017ce mniejsza liczba rannych i zabitych w kraksach spowodowanych przez kierowc\u00f3w ci\u0119\u017car\u00f3wek.
